The largest barrel race in the nation will move into its weekend home during the National Barrel Horse Associations (NBHA) State Finals June 10-13 at the Silver Spurs Arena at Osceola Heritage Park.
For the seventh year the Spurs has hosted the NBHA. Over a thousand competitors, seven-hundred and sixty-four horse stalls and three barrels will all be in action.
“We are truly honored to be the host again for the state finals,” says Henry Kempfer, Silver Spurs Big Boss. “This event brings in a great economic impact for Osceola County and it really showcases the Silver Spurs Arena” Kempfer continues.
Barrel racing fans and spectators are encouraged to not only enjoy the sights of the competition, but there’s great shopping as well. Over 50 vendors will be on hand displaying great merchandise to include everything from western furniture, clothing, jewelry and much more. The event runs from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm daily and admission is free.
The National Barrel Horse Association, headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, is the largest barrel racing organization in the world. In 1992, the NBHA revolutionized the barrel racing industry by pioneering the divisional format, which allows riders of all skill levels a chance to win money and prizes in barrel racing competition.
